Well it keeps things interesting , also in case anyone is interested, discourse is the name of the forum software smartthings run..

Can't say I'm a fan of that format, it's like Disqus has been squidged into a category system. It probably works well on mobile, but doesn't have that true forum quality about it.

I'd be loathe to try another migration too, this software works well and every time we move or do something bad sh*t goes down and stuff gets lost 

Haha, I wouldn't even suggest moving this forum, it would be considerable work to sort out the look, let alone the migration, and let's be honest the forum as it stands has been pretty reliable! I don't see an issue with the category system, because you can still achieve a similar view similar to that on the smartthings layout..

Recently ended up on overclockers forums following a search link. They went a different path to us and stayed attached to the company.

Their forums are huge. Still nothing in comparison to facebook and similar sites.

Are they still run by the same person?

Afaik they sold out to Corporate a while back but i could be wrong

The reason they would keep it and let it run like that is because of all the backlinks they will get from it for SEO.
