Quote from: snellgroveif they didnt have that seriously ghei image, id have one later today :P

I know someone who use to drive one & thought it was a great little car - then again the guy seemed to manage to wear a lot of pink shirts & so clearly wasnt bothered about driving a hairdressers car. - he did tend to pull a lot of girls and given that girls tend to know feck all about cars then driving an mx5 isnt really much of an issue tbh...

Quote from: snellgroveThe main reason I wont buy an MX-5 is this:

(Image removed from quote.)

;)

its pretty much at the top of the list, when it comes to "My next car"

its got about 100bhp more than the MX-5 (websites vary, but between 237 / 246 / enough  ) it does 9000rpm and is also Rear Wheel Drive. it also benefits from an electric roof, something lacking in the MX-5 (excluding the new one, launched last November)

good choice tbh..

I want one too!

Rusty

Gread handling cars apparently, but they do suffer from a girly reputation. To overcome that, purchase a turbo kit for it

Sure the s2000 is lovely, but you can pick up an mx5/eunos for absolute peanuts nowadays.

I dont really care what people think about what you drive, obviously, as I drive a gold mr2

Driving one of those just says my cock isnt big enough while an MX5 says I dont care what you think driving this is fun :)

Pete

I seen a couple of blokes driving those hondas, and while theyre fantastic cars you look a complete twat in them; theres a nobby aura about the car. Id rather look a bit girly in an mx-5 tbh.

Open to offers on the mini, yes Ill get the brakes done properly - found a mini specialist today :)
I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

50p? Or do you just want sensible offers?

One of my brothers mates came over in his newly restored mini (bought from a scrappy for Ã,£50 originally) absolutely beautiful car. The bucket seats were a bit over the top for my liking but the engine sounded brilliant and it had a rather spiffy walnut(esque perhaps) dash.

No, thats one of these:

The S2000 is Honda showing off what they can do, and a damn good car because of it:

QuoteHonda created the S2000 to mark the companys 50th year. The rear wheel drive platform continued in the tradition of the cars predecessors, S600 and S800 in spite of the fact that most Honda vehicles manufactured today use front-wheel drive. Power is delivered via a Torsen limited slip differential mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

The S2000 is constructed using an X-bone monocoque frame that is extremely rigid, thus improving handling, road noise, and steering feel and feedback. Other features included double wishbone suspension, electronically-assisted steering, integrated roll hoops and an electric top that takes 6 seconds to operate, touted as the fastest opening top among all convertibles.

The normally aspirated engine in the S2000 produces more power per litre, than some turbocharged engines youll find in the likes of your vauxhalls, volkswagens, and many many others.

Dave

again I completely agree with snellgrove

the s2000 is simply a fantastic car - tis the boxter* that is driven by salesmen & estate agents who live in essex because they cant afford london after spunking half thier salary on payments for a new car.

*although the boxter is also a great car

see poll title.

hes got all in a huff that we have ruined his thread, by discussing roadsters and various other cars (golly!)

Pete

No, had a stressful day n someone (quite rightly, in hindsight) edited my poll options.
