yes there is.. its an A class    ;)

Binary Shadow

iv never had a car upside down

but an A class ISNT a lot of car for your money lol its tiny and overpriced :P i do love the C classs tho

edit:

yes iv driven a C class, was a 220 Avantgarde, unbelievably comfy and smooth auto mmmmm

Binary Shadow

meh call me old fashioned but i like a bit of car between me and other cars, big boots and big bonnets lol the A class and smart cars dont give me any confidence

Mines a Renault so.... "everything" to answer the original question.

Never, ever, ever buy a new Renault.

Its been in under warrenty getting fixed for more time than its been on the road, and what do Renault say? "Sorry about that".

W*nkers.      :x

Sounds like my Yaris :)

I took myself & 4 passengers, + luggage off to the cotswolds for a holiday.

I was quite dubious as to whether wed get everything in, but we did - without having bags on feet and all that - it all went in the boot.

And everyone was comfortable - the other choice was a 96 celica without air-conditioning. Would have been hell, compared to the Yaris :)

As to "car between me and other cars" no biggie, Yaris has 4-star NCAP rating. its probably safer than a lot of big older cars :P have faith in modern construction techniques & materials = light small AND strong

i did see a program where they drove a corsa (remotly) into a solid concrete barrier at 70mph head on, was quite interesting to see that the cabin was pretty intact, altho apparently you wouldnt survive the deceleration anyway

snellgrove

Yeah, I saw a similiar thing on (the rather cacky) 5th gear where they did a smart car @ 70 into many tonnes of concrete - car survived fine. could still open and close the door as if nothing had happened!

but thats the thing - the speeds we drive at generally exceed the g-forces the human body can withstand, when those speeds are brought to 0 rather rapidly

theres nothing necessarily unsafe about small cars - chances are at speed X youll die because were 70%+ water :P

only way of making really safe cars is to make all cars tiny.... but have several metres of crumple zones on the front & rear :P which would look ridiculous. (but make sub 30mph accidents quite comfortable ;) )

knighty

everything works on my car.... but its full of crap

drove down to milton keens last week (from newcastle) was about 4 hours to get there...... took 8 hours to get back bacause of an accident on the motaway :(

so cba to clean it out once i got back.... and still cant... its full of marsbar wrappers and info. about the machine i was looking at.

Clock'd 0Ne

Well turns out after all that my sump has gone porous, the whole thing is being replaced, Ã,£120 all in :(

Old cars are a PITA, and this one is reliable.

brummie

Mine has loads wrong with it TBPH but it still chugs along nicely :) and passes its mots with ease to date so im happy. Dont need a fancy new car for what i use it for.
if i made a list id be here a while id guess

insidently if i put in 30 qids fuel in it @ 99.9p/litre how much mpg i get if that gets me about 300miles? i think i worked it out @ 45mpg, that right?

About right, just from the overall look of the figures

Had two Meganes from new, totalling nearly nine years on the road.

Just three HT coils replaced and a current oil leak in the front off-side gaiter says different.  ;)

Really should get that sorted though - its making a helluva droning/buzzing noise!   Is it serious?...  :?:

sounds like a wheel bearing tbh, but that is nothing to do with the oil leak.

in theory if you drove to long with the wheel bearing nackered the wheel could come off, but i have done a few thousand miles on one before without any trouble, just a head ache.
