Not really, in my own experience cheap ones contain up to twice as much sugar as Heinz beans.

Heinz prodices a lot of tins for the supermarket own brands anyway. They tend to put more sauce in and less beans than the cheaper ones so while their sauce contains a little more sugar per gramme their tins have less of it in there. Beans are cheaper than the sauce.
