So, Europeans have to wait longer for the console, pay more and then get less features than the US and Japanese.

I cant believe that theyve stripped out the chip needed for backwards compatibility in order to cut costs, but passed no cost reduction onto European customers.

yeah, it;s the only one if the new consoles that is actually heavy enough to use a doorstop.

Give me a minute Im sure I can think of one....

Oh yes, wait a year or so, then there will be a selction of games and developers will finnaly start taking advatnage of the console. Along with hopefully a more appealing price tag.

Could be an NTSC/PAL issue hence needing to be done in software? ie a hardware fault... A bit poo. I was hoping to play some PS2 games on my PS3.

[edit] Maybe not as "simple" as that. From some reports they are removing the PS2 chip from European PS3s... :psyduck: :-/
