That looks horrible.  Ive upgraded one of the machines at work to Bista Buisness for 2 reasons.

1 My Xp Pro machine is occasionaly locking up to the point of stopping me from doing my job, its a recent clean install.

2, I need to learn vista, what better way by using it on the fly.

I;ve installed it plenty of times and updated it, but never actually used it until now  I really like it.

The main 2 things I like (so far) is the way menus and features have been centralised within other available tools.  How you would normally go about setting up file sharing, printer sharing, etc is all centralised in one menu (networking centre) with the ability to still do things the normall XP way.

The other feature I am thoroughly impressed with is the easy transfer wizard.  Getting your profile of XP to vista.  Normally with XP as you may know the feature available to you is the files and settings transfer wizard.  It doesnt allways work, it takes ages becuase you can only do one step at a time on one pc.  Its crap.

This program allows you to transfer any profile from XP, regardless of you are logged in as across a LAN or special USB cable, along with the usual methods of physical storage.

In my case, run the program on Vista, create an EXE on a flash card to run on XP, run it, it connects to the vista machine using a pre generated Key for authentication.  Choose the profiles and what parts of the profile to copy, select the target drive within vista.  It is extreemly quick, done over the network and works well.

They are also working on a version of this that also transfer your applications.

That vista machine is a pentium D with 1gb ram (dell optiplex 745), works fine for me, using RDP and multiple programs.  No slow downs yet.

Still very impressed with vista, not a single lock up crash or anything tbh!
nearly a week and its all good.

Just installed Vista BUsiness alongside the XP64 install i did last week (need to do some testing with the 2008 install).  its ok, nowhere near as snappy as the XP64 install though, plus its using twice the resorces on classic view with all the fancy Aero crap turned off.  Joined it to my domain after some messing around and its bearable.  They dont make it all that easy to look how i want it TBH.  ill be sticking with the XP64 install for most things until ive no other choice but to use Vista.
