No snow here this morning. And even the frost that had been decorating everything in the area every morning has disappeared. It looks like a typical dreary winters day now.

Well roads were ok today until I got off the A5 at the Oswestry end. Through the vilalges was sludgy and at work its realyl deep. Car parked randomly in the car park as theres no visibile markings and Im not 100% sure its gonna come back out. Definitely going to have to keep an eye on it as if it snows much more Ill have to do one before it gets stuck!

I can confirm that I was wrong, I have ~6 inches this morning. Praise be for laptops, I dont have to go anywhere today unless I want to build a snowman :)

I can also safely say I have jynxed the snow-free zone now and there are 1cm big snowflakes busily whitening everything.

On the plus side, I dont start my new contract till monday, so I can happily go about making an epic snow man tonight/tomorrow on the primary school playing field next door.

On the down side I have a sneaking suspicion that I will be stuck at home for the start of the contract. I dont care what people say about driving skills, if you dont HAVE to drive in this weather you shouldnt, end of.

TBH I reckon your own ability to handle a vehicle in this weather doesnt make that much difference, its all them others that are the problem.

If I had to I could take my car out in this and be confident of myself and my car to get through, but Id rather not have some idiot who thinks 4x4 and traction control are magic answers sliding sideways into me.
